Can I apply for an EXIST-Gründerstipendium via HFU?

Yes, applications for the EXIST start-up grant can be submitted via Furtwangen University. We will also help you draw up your business concept document and put you in touch with suitable mentors and coaches who can support you in implementing your project and provide expert advice.

I do not have an idea or a very rough idea yet. Will I still get support?

Yes, in addition to the courses, we organise various workshops each semester in collaboration with our partners on selected creativity techniques such as design thinking and the lean start-up. These methods enable you to develop ideas, flesh them out and make them more tangible.

Is there a specific industry focus at HFU?

No, the HFU supports start-up projects and start-ups from all sectors. So you are always welcome to contact us with any questions you may have. Generally speaking, however, the university places particular emphasis on knowledge- and technology-based start-ups that have the potential to contribute to the economic development of the region and beyond.

I am currently alone and looking for a team partner. Can the HFU help me with this?

Yes, we place great importance on putting together teams with skills that complement each other as much as possible, and so we regularly try, for example, to bring ‘technical’ staff together with ‘business’ staff. Just get in touch with us – we’ll help you find suitable team members.
